Alexandra Hall

The largest residence building on campus, Alexandra Hall can accommodate about 150 students. Built in the 1960s, its front desk is the hub for residence services and after-hours campus communications. The main residence office is located here, and there are don suites on each floor.

  • Many of the beds in Alexandra Hall are platform beds with attached drawers underneath, while other beds are frame beds.
    • Drawer size, if applicable: 18.5 in. x 13.5 in. x 5 in.
    • Space between the bottom of the bed and the floor, if applicable: 13 in.
  • Dresser dimensions: 25.5 in. x 14.5 in. x 7 in.
  • Mattress size: Standard Twin
  • Closet space in Alexandra Hall varies from room to room. However, they are quite substantial and normally larger than the closets in the Bay rooms.

Lower Level (Basement)

Rooms: Both single and traditional double, housing 27 students with shared washrooms.

Facilities: The basement houses a laundry room, vending machines, and computer lab. Please consider using unscented laundry products.

First Floor

Rooms: Both single and traditional double, housing 25 students with shared washrooms.

Facilities: The first floor is home to the Manning Room. Refurbished in 2013, this room is a common area, and is used for larger functions. The kitchen for Alex Hall is also located on this floor.

Second Floor

Rooms: Both single and traditional double, housing 35 students with shared washrooms.

Facilities: The second floor is home to our Housing Office. Both the Housing Coordinator and Residence and Conferences Services Coordinator work out of this office as an integral part of residence.

Third Floor

Rooms: Both single and traditional double, housing 36 students with shared washrooms.

Facilities: The third floor is home to Alex Hall’s common/TV room.

Fourth Floor

Rooms: Single rooms, housing 26 students with eight individual washrooms.

Facilities: Students on the fourth floor share the common rooms throughout Alex Hall.
