King’s Inglis Professor Dr Angus Johnston will deliver two lectures at St Thomas’s Anglican Church in Toronto on 1 and 4 May 2013 as part of "Cosmology, Time and God".

On Wednesday, 1 May 2013, 6.00 to 8.30 PM, Dr Johnston will deliver his first lecture "Ecclesiastes and Artistotle". The readings for this lecture are the biblical book of Ecclesiastes and Aristotle’s definition of motion in his Physics.

On Saturday, 4 May, 10.30 AM, Dr Johnston will speak about "Augustine on Time".  The reading for this lecture is Book 11 of Augustine’s Confessions

The location for both lectures is St Thomas’s Anglican Church, 383 Huron Street, Toronto.

Dr Johston taught at King’s for over 30 years before retiring. He served as vice-president of the university and directed the Foundation Year Programme. He has written on Plato, Aristotle, and Augustine. In his retirement, he is working on Hegel.
