Mary Lu Redden, Director of Halifax Humanities, invites you to the launch of their new book, Each Book A Drum.

Thursday, May 28th at the University of King's College

Dear Friends of Halifax Humanities 101 – near and far.

To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of our program, we have put together an anthology of writings from our students,  professors,  board members, and our community supporters. We are very pleased with and excited about this anthology and the quality and variety of the contributions.

There are  more than 50 selections in the book. We are honoured that George Elliott Clarke, Poet Laureate of Toronto, and Honorary Patron of Halifax Humanities has written our preface.

The very arresting portrait on the poster is a self-portrait done by Brenda De Lorenzo, an artist and graduate of our program.

We hope as many of you as possible can attend, to hear some wonderful readings and mingle with our community of learners.
