A 24-hour reading marathon of The Odyssey is taking place in Alumni Hall, Academic Building, University of King’s College, from 7.00 PM on Friday 22 November to 7.00 PM, 23 November 2013. During this fundraiser for Halifax Humanities 101, 24 teams will read Homer’s epic poem live for 24 hours–one book an hour.

Readers include three King’s College presidents, a team of Inglis professors, Dalhousie Theatre Department faculty, local authors and actors, Halifax Grammar School students, and many students from King’s, Dalhousie, and Saint Mary’s Universities.

You are welcome to watch and support the teams for any part (or all!) of the marathon. There is no admission charge, but a donation to Halifax Humanities 101 would be gratefully accepted.
