Ariel Nasr (BAH ’05) can add another award nomination to his growing collection of nomination and wins. It was announced on 15 January that he has been nominated for best short documentary for The Boxing Girls of Kabul, which he wrote and directed.
Just last week it was announced that the film he produced, ‘Buzkashi Boys‘, has been nominated for an Academy Award in the best short category.
The Canadian Screen Awards replace the previously separate Gemini and Genie Awards. They will be given out at a gala on 3 March, which will be aired on CBC TV.
