Feeding our Future continues at King’s

July 3, 2012 – August 24, 2012

Would you like a volunteer opportunity that helps disadvantaged children? Sodexo is partnering with Feed Nova Scotia, its suppliers, and staff to make 1200 lunch boxes each week between July 3 and August 24. And volunteers are needed!

Students, faculty, and staff are all encouraged to lend a hand. Sandwiches are made and lunchboxes assembled between 9.00 and 10.30 AM each day, Monday to Thursday. The lunches are then taken to camps, such as YMCA, Salvation Army, Phoenix House, and Greystone Family SOS and given to children who would otherwise go without a nutritious lunch.

“Sodexo believes in being part of the community,” says account director Celine Béland. “Fighting hunger is the focus of our work in the community and these children need our help."

Volunteers should contact Celine Béland on 422.1271 ext 155. Food preparation and safety training will be provided.
