Sharlene is proud to have grown up in Newfoundland and she holds a Bachelor of Commerce Co-op (Accounting) Degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland. Her co-op program brought her to Irving Head Office in New Brunswick where she landed a full-time job upon graduation. From there, she worked at Sobey’s Head Office in Nova Scotia, but it was an ad for a job in King’s Student Accounts that pulled at her heart strings, as she just knew this was where she was meant to be. It seems she was right, as Sharlene has called King’s home for over two decades, managing all aspects of Student Accounts.
Sharlene is extremely friendly and enjoys working with students and their guardians, supporting them with all financial matters. Sharlene married her best friend Mark (an accountant, of course) and has two children who hope to attend King’s/Dalhousie someday. Sharlene’s interests include working out, camping, skiing, reading and doing puzzles (although her family would say it is weeding the garden).
