Facilities Staff

The Facilities department at the University of King’s College invites applications for a Facilities Staff position.

Duties include but not limited to

  • Painting
  • Lawn maintenance (snow removal, salting, etc.)
  • Moving, loading and unloading furniture and equipment
  • Furniture set-up
  • Assisting members of the Facilities team as directed
  • Garbage removal as directed
  • Operate basic hand tools such as saws, shovels and rakes
  • Operation of power equipment, as per training
  • Operation of motorized equipment, as per training
  • Ensure equipment and tools are stored in a safe and secure manner
  • Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment at all times
  • Perform other related duties as requiredPreferred Skills:
  • Related knowledge/skills will be considered an asset
  • Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Good communication and organization skills
  • Willing and able to work overtime as required

Additional notes:

The job is physically demanding. Extensive lifting, kneeling, bending, standing and squatting required.

All work will involve careful compliance with current COVID-19 safety procedures. Due to the certain nature of the pandemic, the hours of employment  in this position may be varied and could be disrupted at any time.

Employment Type: Part-Time

Salary: $14.05/hour

Expected Work Term: Fall Semester
