Recruitment Officer (17 week contract)

Established in 1789, the University of King’s College is Canada’s oldest chartered university and is associated with Dalhousie University. Reporting to the Assistant Registrar, Student Recruitment, the Recruitment Officer will work to meet the enrolment goals of the University of King’s College by providing prospective students and those that influence them with detailed information on the King’s experience. This will include extensive travel to promote the College in markets across the country. This individual will be responsible for fostering engagement with prospective students and continually enhancing the relationship with high schools by communicating with school counselors and teachers.  This is a full-time contract position which commences from August 21, 2023, to December 15, 2023.

The position requires significant travel to present the University’s strengths at post-secondary events in Canada. The Recruitment Officer will build effective relationships with prospective students and their families and provide complete and accurate information about programs, co-op, the admissions process and any other details required by prospective student. They will maintain relationships with high school personnel and provide up-to-date information to counselors.

The position is also responsible for scheduling school visits and travel; assisting with on-campus recruitment initiatives and events, including open houses, webinars and campus tours; and supporting the operational needs of the Registrar’s Office by providing exceptional service to prospective and current students.

The ideal candidate will possess an Undergraduate degree, 1-3 of years of experience in marketing and communications or related field is preferred. Preference will be given to University of King’s College graduates.

The salary range for this 17 week contract is: $1,540 bi-weekly, plus 4% vacation pay ($40,040 annually).  There are no benefits associated with this position.
