Library

The King’s Library is open. Patrons should wear masks, and respect social distancing.

A limited number of one-person rooms are available for those doing online classes.

Dining

Prince Hall is now open to the wider King’s community.

Masks must be worn at all times when not actively eating or drinking.

During the fall and winter terms, regular dining hours are currently 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on weekends.

Wardroom and Galley

The HMCS King’s Wardroom, King’s campus pub, is open. The maximum capacity is 150 people. Patrons can stand and move freely with their drinks, are free to drink while standing. Patrons must wear their masks when not eating or drinking.

Staff will continue to wear their masks, please show respect by wearing your mask as much as possible when not eating/drinking.

The King’s Galley, the student-run café, is open. Operating hours are be Monday to Friday, 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. The maximum capacity is 150 people. Those who plan to sit in the lounge will be asked to provide proof of vaccination and photo ID, and all patrons must wear masks at all times when not actively eating or drinking.

When the Wardroom and Galley are not operating, the space operates as the Day Students’ Society Lounge. Similar to the Galley, masks must be worn at all times when not actively eating or drinking, you must be seated while eating or drinking, and social distancing must be maintained.

Athletics

Gym

Athletics is open, but remains in compliance with the current Public Health requirements for masking and capacity. Practice and exercise activities are still permitted for King’s students in a reduced capacity.

Varsity Sports

Varsity teams can hold full training sessions.

Chaplain

The Chapel is open daily for quiet, reflection, to practice an instrument, prayer etc. Every member of the University is welcome.

During the fall and winter terms, his office hours are Thursdays 2:30-4:30 p.m. at King’s (Room 130 in the A&A Building) and Friday 3:30-4:30 p.m. at Dal (Tim Horton’s in the SUB).

The Student Health and Wellness Centre is open and available to all King’s students. They offer services six days a week and same-day counselling over the phone: 902-494-2171

The King’s Co-op Bookstore is open for in-person shopping on Monday-Friday from 12 – 4 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
