Course Delivery

This course will be presented with both synchronous and asynchronous elements. Check the lecture times and consult the School of Journalism for more information.

This course covers basic methods and explores how data analysis techniques borrowed from the social sciences provide journalists with ways to investigate complex systems. One of three core classes in the investigative and data journalism stream of King’s master of journalism program, this course explores both the theory and practice of investigative reporting. Students produce an extensive research portfolio on a proposed investigative project, and complete a major data journalism project.
