Two major alumni awards will be presented at the Alumni Annual Dinner:
The Judge J Elliott Hudson Award for 2013 will be presented to the Honourable Justice Robert Hyslop (BA ’69). The award is given to an alumna/us who, like Judge Hudson, has made significant contributions to their discipline, community, and charitable or volunteer work. Recently retired, Bob has worked at every level of court in Canada and continues to serve the justice system as a supernumerary judge in St John’s, NL. During his years at King’s, Bob was an active member of Cochran Bay and was enrolled in the University Reserve Training Program.
This year, four people, collectively known as the Moncton Mafia, are being inducted into the Order of the Ancient Commoner. This honour is bestowed on an alumna/us or friend of the college who has given significant support to the college or the Alumni Association above and beyond his or her position or affiliation.
The Moncton Mafia–Jonna Brewer (BJH ’87), Sheila Cameron (BSc ’86), Cathy Krawchuk Donaldson (BA ’86, BJ ’87), and Brian Cormier (BJH ’86)–organised last summer’s highly successful 80s reunion on the King’s campus and a previous reunion in May 2007.
Come out to the dinner to support the efforts and achievements of these alumni!
