Jan Zwicky has published nine collections of poetry, including Songs for Relinquishing the Earth, which won the Governor General's Award, /Robinson's Crossing/, which won the Dorothy Livesay Prize, and most recently Forge, which was short-listed for the Griffin Prize. Her books of philosophy include Wisdom & Metaphor and Lyric Philosophy, recently reissued by Brush Education, and Alkibiades' Love, a collection of essays, which is forthcoming with McGill-Queen's University Press. Zwicky grew up on the Prairies, was educated at the Universities of Calgary and Toronto, and currently lives on the West Coast of Canada.
The reading will take place in the King's College Chapel on Wednesday, 25 February, at 7:30 PM. Co-hosted by the King's Poetry Society and the King's Haliburton Society. Free admission; books available for purchase.
