The Foundation Year Programme, Contemporary Studies Programme, and the Fountain School of Performing Arts present a special guest lecture by Catherine Martin.
Catherine Martin is the current Nancy’s Chair in Women’s Studies at Mount Saint Vincent University. A member of the Millbrook First Nation in Truro, Nova Scotia, she is an independent film producer and director, writer, community activist, teacher, and drummer. She is the first woman Mi’kmaw filmmaker from the Atlantic region, who has directed many award-winning documentaries, such as Little Boy Who Lived with Muini’skw, The Spirit of Annie Mae, and Spirit Wind.
