King’s students entering their third or fourth year at King’s in September 2022 are invited to apply for the 2021-22 Scotia Scholars Undergraduate Award. This award, valued at up to $5,000 over 8 months, provides financial support to students with exceptional potential who are, or who wish to be, engaged in health research at King’s.
This award will support the growth, acquisition, and retention of highly skilled individuals who are advancing and translating knowledge in disease detection, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention, strengthening health care delivery systems, caring for vulnerable populations, and promoting better opportunities for future health and wellbeing.
Research proposals must be able to fit into one of Research Nova Scotia’s four missions under the pillar “Healthy People & Health Care Systems”:
- Advance disease detection, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.
- Strengthen our health care delivery system.
- Care for vulnerable populations.
- Promote better opportunities for future health and wellbeing.
