Fans of the University of King’s College Chapel Choir will be delighted to hear that the choir has recorded its first commercially available CD in celebration of the 225th anniversary of the University of King’s College. The college was founded in 1789 and is the oldest chartered university.
The CD, Let Us Keep the Feast, follows the church year from Advent through to All Saints and All Souls. Just over an hour long, it contains 15 tracks, ranging from 16th century pieces by Palestrina, Byrd, Tallis, and Handl, through to W H Harris, Fauré, and the Chapel Choir’s music director, Paul Halley.
