Evan King and Ben Manson have been awarded Super-SSHRCs, worth $35,000 a year for three years, to study in the UK. Ben will go to Oxford University in the autumn and Evan will go to Cambridge University.
Both Evan and Ben studied the Foundation Year Programme at King’s and then took bachelor degrees (first class honours) in Classics at Dalhousie University. Ben was awarded the University Medal in classics and a Killam Scholarship.
Ben is writing a MA thesis on Aristotle with Eli Diamond. He will continue to work on Aristotle at Oxford with Professor Jessica Moss in the Philosophy Department.
Evan is writing a MA thesis on Meister Eckhart with Professor Wayne Hankey. At Cambridge, which has also awarded him a major scholarship, he will work on Eckhart, Scotus, and Arabic philosophy with Douglas Hedley in the Divinity School.
