Antoinette is going into their third year at King’s, pursuing a degree in Contemporary Studies and Philosophy. A born-Haligonian, they decided to stay in Halifax once learning about the Foundation Year Program, and then proceeded to fall in love with the close-knit community on campus. Learning around and from unabashedly enthusiastic people – in and outside of the classroom – is what they enjoy most about being a part of the King’s community. Their favourite book from FYP was Margret Cavendish’s incredibly odd The Blazing World for its blend of politics, philosophy, and fantastical world-building.
When not running around, you can most likely find them talking to friends on one of the stools in the Wardy. Being on the executive of the King’s Theatrical Society, singing in a couple choirs, and working in the registrar’s office as both a Peer Advisor and Tour Guide keeps them busy when not reading or writing papers. Antoinette is very excited to be able to talk to prospective students about their interests, answer questions, and share from their experience as a King’s student.
