Mason Carter Mason Carter

Pronouns: they/them

Mason is a second-year student at King’s studying English and Contemporary Studies. They live at King’s with their best friend, Smokey, an adorable 15 year old cat who is just as much grumpy as he is cute. As a born and bred Nova Scotian, Mason finds a special kind of happiness in such a small, tight-knit community that reminds them of home. Mason is an active member of their home community. Whether it’s being a founding member of Cumberland Pride, writing the Declaration of Climate Emergency bill passed by their hometown’s town council, or working with NS Public Health and teaching anti-oppression workshops to middle and high school teachers across the county, Mason is always working to better their community. Mason is hoping to move to Europe, study at a culinary school and open a restaurant/bakery after their time at King’s. Baking is their favourite pastime, and they will most definitely be found in the Middle Bay kitchen, whipping up some goodies during exam season!
