MA (Dalhousie)
Michelle Wilband completed her Master’s degree in Classics at Dalhousie University, where she focused her research on the early medieval reception of Greek philosophy, specifically the appropriation of Aristotle’s logic in Eriugena’s synthesizing masterwork the Periphyseon. This reflects her broader intellectual interest in the Platonic tradition and the enduring conversation between philosophy and religion. Michelle is an experienced educator in the Humanities and has taught courses on a breadth of topics raging from Greek mythology to the ethical stakes of modern technology. Prior to her appointment as Senior Fellow in 2017, she was a Professor of Humanities at Dawson College in Montreal (2011-2017) and a Teaching Fellow in the Foundation Year Program (2008-2011).
