Sonya Jampolsky Sonya Jampolsky

BJ (Hons) (Carleton), MFA (Vind)

A recent graduate of our MFA program in creative non-fiction, Sonya comes to King’s from the Film and TV Industry. After getting her feet wet as a CBC journalist, she followed her love of documentary and went into private production. That’s where she created content, built financing plans, managed budgets, and ultimately produced factual programs for broadcasters in Canada and the US. A storyteller at heart, what she enjoys most is crafting content, and choosing the best medium for the message. Whether it’s an annual report, a true crime series or a biographical article, curiosity is her guide.

Committed to diversity and new ways of thinking, she’s lived in Botswana and Vietnam working as an educator and consultant. Learning is the backdrop for all her pursuits and Sonya’s excited to be a part of the King’s community, once again.
