Tom Eisenhauer is the co-founder and president of Bonnefield Financial, Canada’s largest farmland investment management and property management firm, which is based in Toronto and Ottawa. He has over 25 years of finance industry experience in a broad range of private equity investing, investment banking and merchant banking activities. Prior to Bonnefield, Tom was the founder and managing partner of Latitude Partners, which was founded in 1999. Latitude was the manager of a private equity fund that specialized in the buyouts of private and public Canadian technology companies. Tom has been the managing director of TD Securities and the founder and head of TD’s technology investment banking operations. He was also a managing director of Lancaster Financial, Canada’s leading independent merger and acquisition advisory firm, which TD Securities acquired in 1995.
Tom is an experienced board director and has served on numerous private and public company and not-for-profit boards. He sits on the investment committees of the Anglican Church of Canada Foundation and the Greenwood College School Foundation.
Tom lives in Toronto, Ontario, and Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. He and his wife Nancy have three university-age children, one of whom currently attends University of King’s College.
Tom holds a masters in economics from Queen’s University, with a specialization in natural resource economics. He also has a BA (University Medal) in economics, with a Russian Literature minor, from Dalhousie University and University of King’s College (BAH ’83), where he completed the Foundation Year Programme. His professional designations include the SME Board Effectiveness Program from the Institute of Corporate Directors and the Rotman School of Management and the PDO designation from the Canadian Securities Institute.
