We are a five-year-old marketing solutions company that is a new hybrid niche in the agency/consultancy space called intelligent marketing solutions. Our clients are Canadian not-for-profit organizations and trade associations, working to serve the public.

Description of the fellowship

We’re currently looking for a Marketing Intern to work with us in fine tuning our strategy and carrying out our internal marketing efforts, with an emphasis on Social Media Marketing and SEM. We would love to see what you can bring to the table to strengthen and complement what we currently have in place.

What can you expect from us?

Mentorship and guidance. You will be immersed in the day-to-day activity of our operations. You’ll have the opportunity to learn about social media, paid marketing strategies, email marketing, copywriting, client communication, and more to drive business goals and to develop a solid foundation for your marketing career. You will be able to exercise your creativity through problem solving and content ideation, the foundation of good marketing.

What we’ll expect from you

  • Create a marketing strategy based on logic, research, data, and empathy
  • Implement your marketing strategy with attention to detail and variables
  • Scour the web for relevant digital content for clients
  • Present that content to us (teach us something)
  • Manage our Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn accounts

  • Follow everything going on in the digital marketing industry
  • Quickly find and digest new marketing tactics and campaigns that inspire new opportunities for us and our clients

The ideal individual will have demonstrated skills in handling mixed and multi-media production, will be more than comfortable speaking in front of an audience, and prides themselves on attention to detail and the quality of their work.

We are a small virtual team based in Nova Scotia and Ontario. Interns must have access to a computer and internet. There may be opportunities for working together in our co-working spaces but we are fully established for home-based work.


Halmyre is located in Toronto, Ontario and Halifax, Nova Scotia. The fellowship can be done remotely.
