Undergraduate Admissions

Apply for 2017-2018 in the following undergraduate programs:

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA)
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc)
  • Bachelor of Journalism (BJH)
  • Bachelor of Music (BMus)

Please include both your full name and your date of birth on all documents.

Arts, science, journalism and music applicants, please allow three weeks for processing after your completed application has been received. Online applications are available October 15, 2016 for September 2017.

Applicants for undergraduate admission (BA, BSc & BJH): the application fee is $65.

Important: Dalhousie University administers our online application system. Even though we share a system, our applications are separate. You’ll be prompted to create an account or sign in if you are an existing student. When you apply to King’s, please select from the King’s applications in the dropdown menu (and not a Dalhousie application). To apply to both King’s and Dalhousie, please make two separate applications.

Applying for Scholarships

Whether applying by mail or online, please apply separately for major entrance scholarships.

Undergraduates who submit an application for admission and official transcripts by March 1 will automatically considered for a general entrance scholarship valued between $500 and $3500.

On-Campus housing is on a first-come, first-served basis. Apply to residence as soon as possible.

Graduate & Advanced Admissions

Apply for 2017-2018 in the following graduate & advanced programs:

  • Bachelor of Journalism (one-year)
  • Master of Journalism (New Ventures)
  • Master of Journalism (Data & Investigative)
  • Combined Master of Journalism (New Ventures) – Juris Doctor*
  • Master of Fine Arts in Creative Nonfiction

*Students apply separately to both the King’s Master of Journalism and Dalhousie Schulich School of Law’s Juris Doctor program.

Important: Dalhousie University administers our online application system. You will be prompted to create an account or sign in if you are an existing student. When you apply to the Bachelor of Journalism (one-year) program, please select from the King’s application in the dropdown menu. When you apply to the Master of Journalism program or the Master of Fine Arts in Creative Nonfiction program, please select the Dalhousie/King’s application from the dropdown menu.

Bachelor of Journalism program: the application fee is $70.
Graduate programs: the application fee is $100.

Please note: Students applying to the Master of Journalism and Master of Fine Arts programs will apply with the Dalhousie University Faculty of Graduate Studies form above. Please make sure all names on your documents match and contain a second identifying piece of information (eg: birthdate).
