Storm Information

Due to the weather, the King’s campus is closed as of 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 24. Please note the Library is closed as of 2 p.m.

King’s follows the decisions made by Dalhousie about weather-related closures. This is because King’s classes are listed as part of Dalhousie offerings. If you see that the Dalhousie (Halifax Campus) is closed for weather-related reasons, King’s will also be closed.

Here is where you will find out if Dal/King’s is closed:

We encourage all students, faculty and staff to download Dalhousie’s DalSafe app, which informs the community of all emergency notifications, including storm days. You can find more info on the app here: https://www.dal.ca/dept/dalsafe.html.

On a Foundation Year Program (FYP) -specific note, should Dalhousie (Halifax campus) close for only the morning and thus the FYP lecture cancelled, all FYP tutorials that day will also be cancelled.  If there is a storm closure on an essay day, essays will be due the morning of the next FYP lecture.

If the campus remains open, but commuting presents a risk to you, please prioritize your safety.
