Finding off-campus housing that fits your needs can take significant time and energy. Here we offer off-campus housing resources that can assist you in your search. Finding suitable accommodations is the student’s responsibility. We call students that live off-campus, our ‘Day Students.’
Halifax is experiencing several challenges regarding rental accommodations. Low availability mixed with low-vacancy rates, increased rents and a continued era of population growth have resulted in a more difficult time securing housing off-campus.
The majority of King’s students are Day Students and live off-campus. As residence is mostly reserved for first-year students, we encourage current and returning students to look for off-campus housing to become part of the greater Halifax community.
Dining services is an integral part of our residence community, but did you know that meal plans are available for Day Students as well? You can obtain a residence meal plan on your student card or purchase a community meal plan.
