December 6 is the National Day for Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. It is a day designated to commemorate the École Polytechnique massacre in Montréal, Québec, that occurred on December 6, 1989.

On December 5 the Sexual Health and Safety Office will hold a vigil on the library steps, and a memorial table has been set up in the front hall of the A&A to share the stories of the 14 women who were killed.

All who attend are encouraged to wear white.
