As a high school counsellor or teacher, King’s recognizes that your support and encouragement are invaluable to students and their families as they plan and transition into postsecondary.

King’s offers prospective students several ways to sample our academic offerings, both inside and outside of the classroom:

We assess all new students who apply before March 1 for an General Entrance Award, and students can also fill out a supplemental application to be considered for Major Awards. In-course awards are available for returning students. More information about award for new undergraduate students can be found online on our scholarships webpage.
Along with scholarships, students who are getting a student loan are eligible for entrance bursaries. Once a student has started their program at King’s, they can also apply for additional in-course bursaries.

King’s recognizes the academic rigour of both the Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) programs by offering students who complete qualifying IB and AP courses transfer credits. AP students must achieve a 4 or 5 on the national level exam to receive transfer credit. Students who complete the IB Diploma or Certificate will be considered for transfer credit if they receive a result of five or higher on a higher-level course. Any questions about transfer credits should be directed to admissions@ukings.ca.
King’s also offers a non-renewable $1,000 scholarship to IB students coming to King’s directly from high school. More information can be found on the scholarships page.

The Student Health and Wellness Centre, provides multiple services and is staffed by a team of physicians, nurses, counsellors, psychiatrists and social workers who support the mental and physical health of our students. Read about more health and wellness supports at King’s.

King’s is committed to assisting international students on their postsecondary education in Canada. This web page answers common questions, including tuition and financial aid, as well as provides information about the process for requesting a Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) and applying for a study permit.
