Thank you to all those who came back to the quad for the 2016 Alumni Annual Dinner on June 25, 2016. A special congratulations to our Judge J. Elliott Hudson award winner Ian Johnson, our Order of the Ancient Commoner inductees Daniel de Munnik and Elizabeth Ryan, and the classes of ’06 and ’91.
This year marks the 170th anniversary of the Alumni Association and is a perfect opportunity to keep celebrating your shared history and reconnect with friends and fellow alumni. Check out www.kingsalumni170.ca to find out about the World Alumni Celebration on October 20, you attend a gathering near you, or plan your own event of any size!
Each year, when alumni come together for the annual dinner, awards are given to deserving alumni that have been nominated by their peers.
The Judge J. Elliott Hudson Distinguished Alumnus(a) Award recognizes King’s alumni who, like Judge Hudson, have made significant contributions to their discipline, community, charitable or volunteer work. This year’s recipient was Ian Johnson (BAH ’72).
The Order of the Ancient Commoner recognizes an alumna/us or friend of the college who has given significant support to the College or to the Alumni Association above and beyond his or her position or affiliation.
Daniel de Munnik (BScH ’02) and Elizabeth Ryan (BA ’69) were inducted to the Order of the Ancient Commoner.
