In celebration of National Coming Out Day and King’s 2SLGBTQIA+ community, King’s Residence is hosting Queering the Quad on October 11!

All members of the King’s community are invited to join us to learn and live it up at this resource fair and celebration.

Resource Fair

During the event on the King’s Quad you’ll find booths with:

  • King’s new Equity Officer, Jasmine Parent
  • The Sexual Health and Safety Officer, Jordan Roberts
  • Nova Scotia’s Provincial Sexual Violence Prevention Education Coordinator, Olivia Landry
  • The Student Support Advisor, Isaac Wright
  • The Accessibility Officer, Michelle Mahoney
  • DAL’s 2SLGBTQIA+ Advisor, Oliva Fader
  • Members of the Residence & Housing Team
  • Organizations from the wider Halifax community aimed at supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ youth including Venus Envy!

Celebration

During the event there will be sweet treats, pride stickers, fun lawn games, queer music and more!

Queering the Quad: After Dark – Pride Dance Party!

At 8 p.m. in the Wardroom, all members of the King’s community are invited to join us for the After Dark portion of Queering the Quad – Pride Dance Party! This event will take place—rain or shine—on October 11 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
