Master of Journalism student Lu Fan has been selected as the recipient of the annual Sachedina ∙ CTV News ∙ Fellowship, an award and mentorship program designed to support an emerging journalist to produce a substantial original piece exploring a subject of significance to Canadians. Fan’s project will focus on the mining of critical minerals.
Fan brings with her over 14 years of experience across television and digital platforms, and as she embarks on this new project, she will have support and mentorship from CTV NATIONAL NEWS, RTDNF Canada and Massey College at the University of Toronto.
The annual fellowship is highly selective, and Fan credits her success to her professors. “None of this would have been possible without your support along the way,” she says. “King’s has offered me so much. I’m happy to be able to bring something back to our community.”
