Admissions Dates & Deadlines

Offers of admission to all programs are made on a rolling basis. Apply as early as possible. Many programs are limited enrolment.

September 2025 Entry Application Deadlines

Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Journalism (Honours) and Bachelor of Music
March 1, 2025
  • For entrance scholarship consideration (all high school applicants)
  • Major awards application (all high school applicants)
  • Official first semester/midterm grades for scholarship consideration
  • Foundation Year Program applications (early deadline)
  • Bachelor of Journalism (Honours) applications (early deadline)
April 1, 2025
  • International applicants
May 15, 2025
  • Admission deposit deadline (early admission)
  • Scholarship offer acceptance
June 1, 2025*
  • Canadian and American applicants (high school)
  • Transfer student applications
August 15, 2025*
  • King’s/Dalhousie students returning to the same program or visiting students applicants*

*Where space is available, applications can be considered prior to the start of classes in September. High school applicants are encouraged to apply early to meet the March 1 deadline for entrance awards and the May 15 guaranteed residence application deadline.

Transfer applicants are also encouraged to apply as soon as possible to take advantage of early class registration in March as well as have their transcripts reviewed for potential transfer credits before starting classes.
