These materials are for use only in the Rare Book Consulting Room on the Main Floor of the Library, unless specific circumstances require that the materials be viewed in the Archives/Treasure Room under mandatory supervision. They must be used carefully and left in the same condition in which they were supplied. Since much of this material is fragile, requests for photocopies will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Please note the following:

  • The University Librarian and Archivist must approve all use of material.
  • Access is restricted to the hours of 9:00a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, or by appointment.
  • Use of pens is not permitted in the Rare Book Consulting Room.
  • Food and drink are not permitted when consulting non-circulating material.
