Hosted by the King’s History of Science and Technology Society

For almost 2000 years, religious icons have played a central role in the rituals and worship of Christians around the world. Icons are also the sight of fascinating artistic and chemical experimentation, often being made with egg tempera paint and gold leaf.

All are welcome to join the History of Science and Technology society in the first Experiments Club event of the year. We will be making egg tempera paint, learning about the history and science of iconography, and making some icons ourselves! It’ll be messy and darn fun and we hope to see you there.

Snacks and drinks provided. Bring an ID if you’re planning to drink! We can’t wait to see what you make!
