Live Poets! reading series
The acclaimed poet Anne Simpson will be hosted by the Haliburton Society on January 20th as a guest in the Live Poets! reading series. The reading will take place at 7:00 in the President’s Lodge and will be followed by a reception. Copies of Anne’s latest collection, Strange Attractor, will be on sale.
About Anne Simpson
A Canadian writer of fiction, poetry, and non-fiction, Anne Simpson has published eight works, including five collections of poetry: Strange Attractor (2019); Is (2011); Quick (2007), winner of the Pat Lowther Memorial Award; Loop (2003), winner of the Griffin Poetry Prize; and Light Falls Through You (2000), winner of the Gerald Lampert Memorial Prize and the Atlantic Poetry Prize. She has served as writer-in-residence for universities and libraries across Canada and currently lives in Antigonish, where she started the Writing Centre at St. Francis Xavier University.
