Night FYP Lecture Series

Marriage of Figaro

Roberta Barker and Performers

This exciting night FYP event offers an introduction to Mozart’s masterpiece The Marriage of Figaro in words and song. Live performances of highlights from Mozart’s opera—including some of its best-loved arias, duets, and ensembles—will be featured alongside a narration of the comedy’s key events. For FYP students, this intimate evening in the President’s Lodge offers the perfect preparation for Friday’s lecture on The Marriage of Figaro. For all community members, it offers a fabulous opportunity to hear lively performances of some of the greatest music even written for the human voice.

The event will be hosted by Dr. Roberta Barker and excerpts from the Opera will be sung by singers Jon-Paul Decosse, Maureen Batt, Erin Bardua, Roberta Barker and Neil Robertson, accompanied by pianist Tara Scott.
