The King’s Co-Op Bookstore will host Miriam Toews, BJ’91, for the Halifax launch of her new book Women Talking. Described as “a flawless, ferocious work of art”, a “modern classic”, and “as close to a Greek tragedy as a contemporary Western novelist can come,” Women Talking is one of the most important books of the year that you won’t want to miss.

Miriam will be discussing the novel with fellow bestselling author Pauline Dakin, MFA’15, author of Run, Hide, Repeat.

Women Talking and many of Miriam’s previous books will be on sale and there will be an author signing following the discussion.

Established in 2006, the King’s Co-Op Bookstore is Halifax’s only co-operatively run independent bookstore. Located on campus at the University of King’s College, the bookstore is community owned and operated, and features great books of all kinds along with creative gift items for you or the booklovers in your life. They also run a podcast for book lovers called Bookings, recorded out of the university’s journalism department.
