King’s and the Foundation Year Program are delighted to host Alan Syliboy and the Thundermakers on the final Night FYP event of the 2025/26 school year!

Originally planned for spring 2020, but cancelled due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, this evening promises to be a vibrant, joyful and poignant capstone for this year, as we carry on striving to “arrive where we started/and know the place for the first time.”*

Alan Syliboy and the Thundermakers consists of Alan Syliboy, group leader/percussion & spoken word artist; Evan Syliboy (Alan’s son), lead electric guitar; Hubert Francis, star of Brookes Diamond production “Drum”, from Elsipogtog First Nation; Lukas Pearse, bass (video mapping technician); Joanne Hatfield, vocal/guitar/keyboard; Shawnee Paul, vocals/fiddle; Aaron Prosper, vocals/percussion; Kev Corbett, drums.

Spoken Word—Alan’s original spoken word songs are performance highlights, leaving many audience members in tears during his presentation.

Video accompaniment—Alan’s art is featured in a video presentation projected on screens during the group’s performance. The video is carefully selected and is programmed to accompany the theme of each song throughout their concerts. This has added immense beauty to their production.
