The King’s Chorus, dir. Nick Halley, presents

Saint Nicolas

with guest soloist Nils Brown, organist Paul Halley, and a chamber orchestra

Dec. 6: Britten’s Saint Nicholas. The King’s Chorus, under the direction of Nick Halley, will perform Britten’s Saint Nicholas on Friday, Dec. 6, 2019 at 8 p.m., at St. Mary’s Basilica in Halifax, with guest soloist Nils Brown, organist Paul Halley, and a chamber orchestra. The text of Britten’s piece, written by Eric Crozier, puts into verse the wildest of the folk tales he dug up in his extensive research on Nicolas, the 4th-century bishop known to us as Santa Claus. Please read more about King’s Chorus and this performance in this article by King’s Chorus President and second-year student Malcolm Sepulchre.
