3 close losses in a 3-set sweep by the Mounties saw the UKC Ladies drop their first game of the weekend. The Blue Devils were within 5 every set, even forcing a 24-26 finish in the third, but ultimately came up short. In spite of the loss, several King’s players put in solid performances, including Emma Wilson with 12 kills, and rookie Leah Hartlen who recorded 2 aces from the service line. Despite having a number of games left on their schedule, the standings have solidified for the most part, with King’s seemingly on a collision course with their Halifax rivals, MSVU, in what would be the 4v5 seed match at playoffs in a few weeks time.
