After a long stretch of home matches, the UKC Blue Devils women’s soccer team hit the road for an important showdown against the Crandall Chargers in Moncton. Coming off two consecutive draws, the Blue Devils were determined to break the streak and secure a win.
Throughout the match, the Blue Devils relentlessly pressed forward, creating numerous scoring opportunities and recording an impressive 22 shots on goal. Despite Crandall’s attacking efforts, UKC goalkeeper Emma Kuzmyk delivered an impressive performance, stopping all 13 shots and maintaining her composure under pressure. On the other end, Crandall’s keeper, Reese Crocker managed to turn away all 22 shots she faced.
In a game dominated by exceptional goalkeeping, neither side could find the back of the net, and the contest ended in a 0-0 draw – marking the Blue Devils’ third straight tie. Despite the result, the team’s attacking intensity and defensive solidity continue to show their potential as they push for a breakthrough in upcoming matches.
Looking to bounce back from their 3-0 defeat to STU the previous weekend, the UKC Blue Devils men’s soccer team took the field against the Crandall Chargers with determination. The first half was a slow start for the Blue Devils, who struggled to find the back of the net despite several chances.
However, 20 minutes into the second half, Coleton Walker broke the deadlock, scoring UKC’s first goal. Walker’s strike opened the floodgates, with Andrew McKenna adding a second in the 72nd minute, followed by Luke Kostka’s third goal in the 80th. On the defensive end, goalkeeper Liam Collings continued his excellent form, recording his fourth shutout in five games. The Blue Devils’ dominant second-half performance secured a 3-0 win and a valuable three points.
In the second and final tournament of the regular season, the UKC Blue Devils women’s rugby team continued to assert their dominance in the inaugural Rugby 7s league.
Their first test of the day came against Dalhousie Halifax, and the Blue Devils made a statement with a commanding 20-5 victory. The team’s physicality and precision were on full display as they overwhelmed their opponents from the opening whistle, securing a comfortable win.
Following a brief rest, the Blue Devils returned to the field for a closely contested match against the UNBSJ Seawolves. Both teams traded tries in a thrilling encounter that went down to the wire. In the final moments, the game hinged on a Seawolves conversion attempt—if successful, they would win, but if missed, UKC would secure victory. In a stroke of fortune for the Blue Devils, the conversion sailed just wide of the posts, handing them a hard-earned win and their second victory of the day.
In their third and final match, UKC faced Dal AC with a chance to clinch the tournament. The Blue Devils took control early, establishing a lead they would never relinquish. They dominated the match from start to finish, cruising to victory and sealing their place as tournament champions.
With three wins from three, the Blue Devils head into the playoffs as the top seed, continuing to showcase why they are a force to be reckoned with in the league.
In their home opener, the UKC Blue Devils men’s rugby team took on Acadia, determined to continue their impressive run of form. The Blue Devils wasted no time asserting their dominance, coming out of the gates with intensity and quickly putting points on the board. Their relentless attack saw several tries scored before the Axemen could even register their first.
A standout moment came from Grayson Tucker, whose commanding presence in defense set up steal leading to a try, further extending UKC’s lead.

By the final whistle, UKC had secured a commanding 50-13 victory, marking their third consecutive win of the season and solidifying their place as a top contender in the league. With a perfect 3-0 record, the Blue Devils have firmly established themselves as one of the teams to beat this season.
