Change in Scholarship Application Requirements for High School Students in Nova Scotia

Change in Scholarship Application Requirements for High School Students in Nova Scotia:

In recognition of the ongoing work-to-rule job action, the University of King’s College will not require that Nova Scotia high school students submit academic references for our named scholarships due on January 15th.

All students applying for our larger, named scholarships do have to submit a personal reference. Students outside of Nova Scotia applying for named scholarships are still required to submit an academic reference letter as well as providing a Declaration of a school official on their essay cover sheet. For this year, Nova Scotia students are not required to provide either an academic reference or to provide a Declaration from a school official on their essay cover sheet.

All students who have applied and been accepted to King’s are automatically considered for entrance scholarships.

We will continue to work with donors to ensure that the NSTU’s work-to-rule job action does not negatively impact students’ eligibility for awards.
