If One Night: a Collodion Remedy: 29 October at the Khyber Centre for the Arts

The King’s alumni duo behind Wheelwright, Bryn McLeod (BAH ’12) and Patrick Blenkarn (BAH ’13), are bringing their travelling theatre-music show to Halifax. Drawing on local musicians and actors wherever it goes, If One Night: a Collodion Remedy explores a generation of restless citizens and the rituals and games that keep them on the move.

The show interweaves musical performances by Nick Everett (FYP ’10), Special Costello, Marc Blouin, and Crashing Horse (as well as a surprise guest) with theatrical performances by current King’s student, Lily Ross-Millard, Halifax actor Katie Dorian, and Blenkarn, the show’s co-creator.

"We’re playng with form to try to bring not only different audiences together but also diverse artists," says Bryn McLeod (BAH ’12), the other co-creator of the show. "Similar to the nomadic community this show investigates, we’re excited by moving freely from style to style–from the narration of a story to a song to a poem–and not knowing what might happen next."

If One Night takes place on Tuesday, 29 October 2013 at the Khyber Centre for the Arts. Doors open at 9.00 PM. $10 admission.
