The King’s community was shocked and saddened by the unexpected death of Palmira Boutillier (BJ ’11) last week. Palmira was stung by an insect while out picking raspberries and had an allergic reaction. She was taken to hospital but died a few days later.
Dick Miller taught Palmira in his advanced radio documentary workshop in the journalism program at King’s and describes her as one of a kind. “There are so few reporters these days who are really digging into social justice issue and carry it with the kind of passion Palmira did,” he says.
