Kristin Slaney is 2b theatre's emerging artist-in-residence

Kristin Slaney (BAH ’12) was named Halifax’s 2b theatre’s emerging artist-in-residence for 2013. This theatre studies graduate was active with the KTS as a King’s student and has written several plays that have been produced in Halifax. In addition to writing, she also directs and produces.

In February 2013 her play, Tragedy of the Manic Pixie Dream Girl, was produced as part of the New Works Festival in Edmonton. She is one of seven playwrights in Nova Scotia in Eastern Front Theatre’s Playwrights Unit, where she is working on her play, King of Berlin

Kristin is currently involved with the 2b production of The God That Comes, starring Hawksley Workman. A special VIP student night will be held on 18 April. To find out more, please contact Kristin
