Men’s basketball have completed the signing of 5-7 point guard, Xavier Buckley of Citadel High School. A Halifax native, Buckley is the is the epitome of a homegrown player, participating in the Community YMCA player development program and having represented Nova Scotia at the provincial level.
“We are thrilled to have Xavier join our men’s basketball program,” says head coach Luc Stevenson. “A true point guard and natural leader, Xavier will be a great extension of the coaching staff on the floor. His outside shooting and leadership will be a great asset.” Buckley is the Blue Devil’s second signing from the Halifax Metro League, joining fellow guard Alp Ozgoren of Charles P. Allen High School. Buckley will enroll in the Bachelors or Arts program in the Fall.
