UKC Ladies bounce back with 2-0 win on Senior Day

A nigh perfect afternoon for the UKC Ladies, who managed a full 180 degree change from last weeks match up with the Mystics, reversing the scoreline and winning 2-0 at home.

In the adjusted 80 minute meeting, all high drama was reserved for the second half, beginning on the hour mark when rookie striker Anna Dugandzic broke the deadlock with her first career goal in a Blue Devils shirt. The King’s lead was doubled 15 minutes later when Rebecca Dupuis converted from 14 yards, sealing the game for UKC.

This game also represented the final home match for graduating wingers Lydia Hanson, Lauren Heaslip and striker Shikha Gupta. Joining King’s for the 2016 season, in which the Blue Devils finished league silver medalists, the trio were recognized by their teammates, and rewarded with a well deserved victory over their city rivals.

With this result the Blue Devils improve to 1-1 on the year, with late November fixtures potentially still to come in this irregular Covid-19 season.
