UKC Women’s Basketball Season Review

UKC Women's Basketball Season Review

Though they came just shy of a trip to the National Championships, the UKC Women took another great leap forward in their program, reaching the ACAA Finals and earning a silver medal in head coach Parker Regan’s most successful season to date. Posting a 11-7 regular season, the Blue Devils finished 4th in the ACAA, beating the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placed teams along the way. The talent of the UKC side was encapsulated in their thrilling win over league leaders, St. Thomas, in the ACAA Semi-finals, coming from behind in the 4th quarter to punch their ticker to the championship game, where they eventually fell to the Mystics of MSVU.

As the offseason begins, King’s fans can take faith in the fact that their roster will remain largely unchanged for the 2020/21 season. King’s will return a number of current and former ACAA Allstars, including Jenna Bain, Chloe Oxner, and Claire Hickman. Elsewhere, the Blue Devils will look forward to the return of the injured MacKinnon sisters, who missed the bulk of the regular season and the entirety of playoffs. Needless to say, King’s will be a force to be reckoned with in the first full season of the new decade
