Women's Volleyball lands first recruit of the year, Manitoba's Jane McLean

King’s Volleyball have secured the first signing of the 2024 class, recruiting Jane McLean of Glenboro, Manitoba. A 5’10 setter, McLean is a product of Brandon Volleyball Club and the Glenboro High School Panthers Volleyball program. Previously recognized as a provincial All-Star at U-16 level, McLean was also the recipient of the 2023 Players Choice Award at the MHSAA Provincial ‘A’ Championship and the Manitoba High School Athletic Association Athlete of the Week.

“I chose King’s because it was a great match for my academic and athletic pursuits,” says McLean. “When visiting, the team was very welcoming, fun and competitive, and I knew it was the right place for me. I’m very excited to get to continue to play volleyball and getting to live near the ocean.”

Jane will join fellow Manitobans, 3rd year middle Elena Neufeld and 1st year libero Mira Foulkes, who have both enjoyed an excellent 7-1 start to the 2023-24 ACAA season.

While playing volleyball, McLean will study in the FYP Science Program, with hopes of further study in the field of medicine.
