Adrienne Malloy Adrienne Malloy

BA (Vind)

Adrienne Malloy, Class ’76 & ’80 is retired from a career in fundraising and journalism. Her connection to King’s began in 1974 when she arrived as a second-year student. She is a member of the first Journalism graduating class of 1980 and worked in regional magazines for 10 years before switching to a career in fundraising. Adrienne worked for 25 years as a partner in RBR Development Associates Ltd. helping not-for-profit organizations across Atlantic Canada and southern Ontario achieve their goals. She finished her career as the President of the Dartmouth General Hospital Foundation, retiring in 2018. Adrienne credits her time on the King’s Library Campaign committee back in the late 1980s with introducing her to the field of fundraising. Most of all, she credits King’s with providing her with a valuable education- inside and outside the classroom- and for introducing her to lifelong friends with whom she still keeps in close contact.

Adrienne is an active volunteer with the Rotary Club of Halifax Harbour and volunteers with Northwood’s Get Connected program. She is also a member of the Sing in Joy choral group and is a beginner Tai Chi student. Adrienne lives in Halifax with her partner, Marjorie Sullivan.
